WOMAN CHARGED WITH STEALING FROM ELDERLY MOTHER

A 66-year-old Jackson County woman is accused of stealing around $80,000 from her elderly mother.According to the [i]Jackson County Chronicle[/i], Kathleen Peterson of Taylor is facing charges for forging her mother?s name on hundreds of checks over a two-year period.
Authorities say Peterson used the money to pay bills, give money to her daughter and her daughter?s boyfriend.
The alleged victim identified 50 checks where her signature was forged.
Peterson admitted to forging the checks, but says her mother consented
