THIEDE BACK IN JAIL FOR PROBATION VIOLATION

Less than a year after his controversial release, Gary Thiede is back in custody for violating conditions of his extended supervision.Thiede was convicted in the grisly 1988 murder of a 16-year-old boy in Hatfield. He was also convicted of sexual assault and child enticement.
After serving a prison term, Thiede had to be released in Clark County?the location of his last conviction.
After a lengthy search, the Wisconsin Department of Corrections made arrangements for him to reside at W4780 Blueberry Road. That address is located south of STH 73 in the Town of Washburn.
He moved in on September 1, 2010.
Thiede was arrested on Tuesday of last week for an unspecified probation violation. He was released from Clark County Jail on Thursday of last week.
Tim LeMonds, a Department of Corrections spokesperson, confirms Thiede was arrested again Wednesday and remains incarcerated at the Clark County Jail as of Thursday morning.
The nature of his violation has not been made public, but LeMonds says Thiede will not be released in the foreseeable future. LeMonds says the violation was not criminal in nature.
