Wednesday, July 20th, 2011 -- 9:58 AM
Faced with tight budgets, the Neillsville school district has trimmed its energy consumption. The district has worked with CESA 10?s Energy Management Team to reduce the school?s energy consumption by about 8-percent; that equates to a $11,000 annual savings, says superintendent John Gaier.
To date, they've updated equipment schedules to save energy when the building is unoccupied, de-lamped lit areas and installed sensors in some areas.
