RESIDENTS SOUND OFF ON MEGA FARM PROPOSAL

A public hearing was held Monday on a proposed mega farm in Adams County.The proposed Richfield Dairy farm would be located near Coloma. Kaukauna-based Milk Source plans to milk 4,300 cows there.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is holding a hearing for neighboring residents to weigh in on the plan.
Milk Source says the operation will employ 40 people, but some area residents have already voiced concerns about the amount of manure and traffic the farm will cause.
Milk Source has four other farms in the state, with locations in De Pere, Kaukauna, Omro and Rosendale.
