NEILLSVILLE WATER TOWER TO GET PAINT JOB

The Neillsville City Council last night moved forward with a plan to paint the water tower near the school.The Council approved the lowest of three bids last night.
Central Tank Coating of Elgin, Iowa will repaint the structure for $150,000.
Also last night, the Council approved the repaving of Grand Avenue from 5th Street to 7th Street. Public Works Director Dave Flynn expects that project will get started next Monday, and take about two weeks to complete.
They hired seven new firefighters, contingent on them completing the necessary training.
And the Council approved a redistricting of the city five wards. We?ll have more information on the newly drawn districts later this week.
