IT'S OFFICIAL: M & I IS NO MORE

A bank with several locations in our area has officially been absorbed by a Canadian firm.M & I Bank officially merged into Toronto's BMO Financial Group Tuesday.
Staggering real estate losses ? especially in Arizona, rocked M & I, the state's largest bank.
The closing of the $4.1 billion all-stock deal ended M&I's run as a Milwaukee-based bank that began in 1847.
You?ll still see the M & I Bank name for another 18 months, but branches will eventually be referred to as ?BMO Harris Bank.?
M & I has branches in Marshfield, Loyal and Neillsville.
