WOULD-BE ABORTION CLINIC SHOOTER SEEKS COMPETENCY EXAM

A Marshfield man will undergo a competency exam to determine if he?s mentally fit to face charges that he planned to shoot abortion providers in Madison.A defense attorney representing Ralph Lang, 63, says she?ll file a motion with the court seeking an exam.
Madison police say they were called to hotel where he was staying after Lang?s gun accidentally fired, shooting a bullet into another room across the hallway. Lang allegedly told authorities he intended to shoot a doctor and nurses at a Planned Parenthood Clinic on the city?s east side.
