Greenwood City Council Approves County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan
Monday, January 25th, 2021 -- 1:00 PM
The Greenwood City Council approved to adopt the Clark County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan.
The plan covers the years 2020-2025. In adopting the plan, the council recognizes it as the official all hazards mitigation plan for the City of Greenwood with the intent of implementing the plan recommendations as funding and resources allow.
The council also denied an outdoor wood burning permit for a property on 207 Depot Street. A public hearing was held on that item first. Two council members voted to approve it and two voted against it. Greenwood’s mayor broke the tie by voting no.
The council also approved a city employee to carry over the additional 7 hours remaining from 2020’s PTO balance, approved the bid for a new police squad from Gross Motors for $34,995, and approved allowing Greenwood Motors sell the 2014 squad on the City’s behalf.
The council also approved COVID leave pay to an employee for 40.75 hours, approved to extend the COVID leave benefits to mirror the FFCRA benefits until March 31st of this year, and approved the election workers for 2021 as presented.
An alderman also moved to rescind his motion to approve the Personnel Committee recommendations regarding the wording of insurance benefits and replace them with new phrasing.
