The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited two companies for a fatal accident at a plant construction site in Chippewa Falls.Concrete contractor, Lewis Construction of Schofield, and general contractor, Cedar Falls Building Systems of Menomonie, received what OSHA calls a "serious" citation.
They claim the companies knew or should have known about the potential hazard and should have provided adequate bracing for the wall.
Kevin Kadrilick, 36, was killed when a wall collapsed at the EOG sand plant. Three co-workers were injured. The workers were on elevated walkways attached to the framework.
The Chippewa Herald says the companies have 15 days to contest the citations and could face tens of thousands of dollars in fines.
