The proposed Central Wisconsin Agribusiness Innovation Center in Owen has another financial commitment from an area bank.Medfod-based Time Federal Savings Bank in Medford signed a pledge for $25,000 to be used for the creation of the project.
As proposed, CWAIC would be a multi-purpose facility that will serve as a business incubator for emerging companies in agribusiness, renewable energy, biotechnology, food processing and related industries. It will be located in the Clark County Agribusiness Park, which is also in its development stage.
Members of the CWAIC board have been trying to raise $5.8-million in order to break ground for the facility. They hope ground can be broken later this summer.
