One U.S. Congressman is doing nothing to dispel speculation he may run for Senate next year.According to the La Crosse Tribune, Rep. Ron Kind (D-La Crosse) said yesterday that he hasn?t ruled out a run for the Senate and is consulting with family and friends about the decision.
Other Democrats thought to be considering campaigns are U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin and former Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk.
Potential Republican challengers are former Gov. Tommy Thompson, former U.S. Rep. Mark Neumann, state Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald of Juneau, and his brother, Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald of Horicon, state Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen.
Kind also is considered a potential candidate for Governor should opponents force a recall of Gov. Scott Walker.
