FOR GRANTON RESIDENTS, THE SURVEY'S IN THE MAIL
Tuesday, May 3rd, 2011 -- 10:23 AM
Granton School District residents should be receiving a survey today or tomorrow.Faced with declining enrollment, the district plans to strike an agreement to send their high school students to a nearby school district in the 2012-13 school year.
Under the arrangement known as ?whole grade sharing,? Granton would pay another district a ?tuition? to educate their students. They would maintain a K-8 school and a school board.
The school board wants to know which area school they should work with. The survey will ask district residents to rate five schools: Neillsville, Greenwood, Loyal, Marshfield and Pittsville.
District residents will have two weeks to return the surveys.
The school board hopes to have an agreement in place by September 1.
