CLARK CO. UNEMPLOYMENT NUMBERS IMPROVE

Clark County?s unemployment rate improved in March.According to new figures released by the Department of Workforce Development, the jobless rate slid from 10.5% in February to 9.9% in March. That number is also well below the rate last March of 12.7%.
Clark County has the 25th highest unemployment rate in the state.
Elsewhere in the area, Wood County ranked 41st with a rate of 8.7%; Taylor County ranked 15th highest with a rate of 10.8%; Marathon County ranked 47th with a rate of 8.2%; Jackson County ranked 26th with a rate of 9.8% and Eau Claire County ranked 69th with a rate of 6.6%.
