WINTER RETURNS, BUT IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE

The Neillsville area was right at the cut-off line for the heaviest snow from last night wintry blast. We got around 2? with another 1-3? possible today. There was less snow to the south, but significantly more snow to the north. Medford got a foot of snow. Longwood, in northern Clark County, got 7?.We're keeping an eye on the Black River near Black River Falls. The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Flood Warning for Buffalo, Trempealeau and Western Jackson County until 9 a.m. tomorrow morning.
COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS ARE REPORTING MINOR LOWLAND FLOODING ALONG SEVERAL CREEKS AND RIVERS IN THIS AREA. FLOODING HAS BEEN REPORTED ALONG THE TREMPEALEAU RIVER NEAR TAYLOR...AS WELL AS IN THE WHITEHALL AREA. THE BUFFALO RIVER IS ALSO OUT OF ITS BANKS IN MANY AREAS. SEVERAL SMALLER TRIBUTARIES TO THESE RIVERS ARE ALSO EXPERIENCING MINOR FLOODING.
