3rd TIME THE CHARM FOR LOYAL REFERENDUM?
Monday, February 14th, 2011 -- 12:10 PM
The Loyal School Board is hoping the third time is the charm as they prepare to finalize an upcoming revenue cap exemption referendum. The district has tried twice, but has been unable to pass a referendum. Before the last vote, in November, the school board released proposed cuts they said would eventually be needed to balance their budget if the referendum failed.
At a meeting last month, the board approved sending another referendum to voters in April, but didn?t decide on an amount or duration of the cap exemption. They?re expected to finalize those decisions at their monthly meeting Wednesday night.
