PINE VALLEY TO RECONVENE CAUCUS
Friday, January 28th, 2011 -- 9:50 AM
The controversial handling of a Town of Pine Valley meeting has prompted officials to reconvene the caucus and revote on the nominations for a supervisor?s position.120 people packed into the Town Hall on Monday night for, what we?ve been told, was a heated meeting.
Some controversy erupted over the handling of the nominations for the Supervisor 2 position, which prompted a formal complaint to be filed with Town Chairman Walter Wetzel and the Government Accountability Board.
Clark County Clerk Christina Jensen tells us that, in light of the controversy, the voting for the position will be redone at the reconvened meeting at 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 8th.
The caucus nominations determine who will appear on the ballot in April. The Town of Pine Valley surrounds the City of Neillsville.
