AREA GETS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT

Clark County will receive over $600,000 from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to rehabilitate and expand the supply of safe and sanitary housing for low-to-moderate income households. Clark County is among 18 municipalities to share in over $8-million in grant money. Another $500,000 was specifically earmarked for the City of Thorp and $487,000 was earmarked for Wood County. The CDBG program administered by Commerce?s Division of Housing and Community Development awards grants to general purpose units of local government for housing programs. Besides funding an array of housing rehabilitation projects, the funds may also provide homebuyer assistance for low-to-moderate income households.Feel free to contact us with questions and/or comments.
