BARN FIRE NEAR GREENWOOD

Four fire departments were called to the scene of a barn fire just outside of Greenwood Tuesday morning.The fire was located on CTH G between School Road and Sydney Avenue and was reported at around 11:20 a.m.
Fire Chief Tom Abel says the fire may have been caused by a wood stove in the building. The barn was used to house chickens. Some were lost in the fire.
The crews were able to save a portion of the structure.
The Greenwood Fire Department received tanker assistance from Neillsville and Owen and a full response from Loyal.
