WISCONSIN POPULATION CLIMBS

The latest U.S. Census data shows 5.7 million people call Wisconsin home. That's up 6% over the past decade.The first results from the 2010 census confirmed that Wisconsin will retain its eight seats in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Overall, America's population grew by 9.7% to 308,745,538.
That's the lowest increase since the 1940 census count when America was still recovering from the Great Depression.
Broken down by regions, the Northeast grew by 3.2%, the Midwest by 3.9%, the South by 14% and the West by 13.8%.
