Wednesday, December 15th, 2010 -- 12:18 PM
A central Wisconsin sheriff has apologized for threatening to bring families of slain officers to their homes if they voted against $190,000 vehicle. The comments came as the County Board discussed their 2011 budget, which included funding for an armored vehicle. Sheriff Randy Hoenisch said he was making a list of board members opposed to the funding, and he'd bring the family of a slain officer to their door for an explanation.
Hoenisch apologized Tuesday.
The Wausau Daily Herald says the armored vehicle was included in the 2011 budget passed by the board.
