NEILLSVILLE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY EVACUATED
Friday, December 10th, 2010 -- 12:10 PM
There was another call for the Neillsville Fire Department Friday morning. This one turned out to be a false alarm. The crew was called to the Neillsville Retirement Community at 10:33 a.m. That facility is located at 1211 Lloyd Street. Smoke alarms were sounding in the building and the residents were evacuated. Fire Chief Matt Meyer says it appears a faulty fluorescent light ballast was to blame. There was no fire and crew spent about 30 minutes on the scene.Feel free to contact us with questions and/or comments.
