A state lawmaker?s ex-girlfriend will spend time in jail for forging his checks.
A Marathon County judge sentence Lisa Brabazon Monday to three years probation, including 90 days in jail, for falsifying state Representative Scott Suder?s signature on checks she wrote to herself.
Brabazon claims Suder gave her permission to write the checks while the two lived together in 2007. But the Abbotsford Republican says he did not and that the signatures were not his.
Brabazon will be allowed to transfer the jail time to Portage County, where she now lives. She must also pay $1,200 in restitution, undergo counseling, and avoid any contact with Suder.
