Friday, December 3rd, 2010 -- 11:46 AM
Three years after the case began, the former girlfriend of a powerful State Assemblyman has apparently reached a plea deal on charges she stole his money.Lisa Brabazon faces 15 felonies and 4 misdemeanors for allegedly using Rep. Scott Suder's checks and credit cards without his permission back in 2007. The two were living together at the time.
According to the criminal complaint, Suder went to authorities after he noticed his balance statements didn't add up and Brabazon had written numerous checks to herself.
Brabazon didn't deny writing the checks or using Suder's credit cards, but has said Suder gave her permission to use his accounts when he was in Madison.
A jury trial was scheduled to begin on Tuesday, but on-line court records now show Brabazon will be in Marathon County Circuit Court for a plea hearing on Monday.
The woman has already been convicted of breaking into Suder?s home after he threw her out. Brabazon broke out a basement window, severely cutting herself on the glass. Police reports indicate there was blood throughout Suder's home.
