STATE DEER HARVEST UP

It looks like Wisconsin deer hunters had a good season in November.Preliminary figures show hunters took more than 218,000 deer during the just-completed 9-day gun deer hunt. That's an 11% increase over the 2009 season, according to DNR tallies.
Around 102,000 bucks were shot, a 17% increase over 2009. More than 116,000 antlerless deer were harvested, a nearly 7% increase over last year.
Gun deer license sales totaled more than 621,000 at the close of the hunt.
