KOULA CASE MOVES FORWARD

We should learn more Monday about the course the murder trial of Eric Koula will take.The Neillsville graduate is accused of killing his parents, Dennis and Merna Koula in an apparent plot to gain his share of a sizable inheritance.
Authorities believe Eric deposited a forged $50,000 check from Dennis? account the day after the murders. The newly released documents indicate they also believe they found the checkbook that produced the forged check in Eric Koula's home when he was arrested July 29.
Authorities also found two envelopes, one containing a will, the other a suicide note, in Eric Koula's home.
A scheduling hearing was scheduled for Monday morning in La Crosse County Circuit Court.
Koula is being held on a $1-million cash bond.
