POST OFFICE EMPLOYEE ACCUSED OF THEFT

A substitute letter carrier from Neillsville has been charged with stealing mail.According to the Wisconsin Department of Justice, 42-year-old Theresa Kuehl of Neillsville is alleged to have removed a prepaid Citibank debit card in the amount of $100 from a piece of mail. The alleged theft occurred in December of last year.
If convicted, Kuehl faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison.
Kuehl served as a substitute carrier for a rural route around Neillsville. She is no longer employed by the Post Office.
