STAND-OFF, GUN SHOT LEAD TO ARRESTS

A standoff outside of Black River Falls ended yesterday when law enforcement entered the home and arrested two people.Authorities were called to the home in the Town of Adams at around 2 p.m. when a family member reported a woman was being assaulted by her boyfriend.
A responding officer heard a gunshot from inside.
The occupants wouldn?t negotiate, even when authorities approached the home with an armored vehicle.
Officers eventually entered the home and arrested 26-year-old Robert Heimlich for resisting officers, recklessly endangering safety and disorderly conduct while armed.
20-year-old Jewel Funmaker was arrested for resisting officers. Alcohol is believed to have been involved.
