TUESDAY IS ELECTION DAY

Tuesday is Election Day. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Here?s a run-down of some of the races will be watching on Tuesday:Democrat Scott Haines and Republican Greg Herrick will face off for Clark County Sheriff. There are also three official write-in candidates: Mark Prior, Gary Leichtman and Louis Rosandich.
In the 3rd Congressional District, Democrat Ron Kind is expected to have a strong challenge from State Senator Dan Kapanke.
The 7th District pits Julie Lassa against Sean Duffy.
The 23rd State Senate District sees Democrat Pat Kreitlow challenged by Republican Terry Moulton.
The 31st State Senate District has Democrat Kathleen Vinehout challenged by Ed Thompson.
Of course, there are the statewide races. Republican Ron Johnson challenges Democratic U.S. Senator Russ Feingold and Democrat Tom Barrett will take on Republican Scott Walker in the race for Governor.
And in Loyal, there will be a vote on a big school district-wide revenue cap exemption. If approved, the board could exceed the cap by $675,000 for four years, starting with the 2011-2012 budget.
