HOMICIDE SUSPECT MAKES HIS 1ST COURT APPEARANCE

The 23-year-old man arrested in connection with a homicide near Melrose last week made his first court appearance yesterday.Aaron Powers is held on a $1-million cash bond but he has not been charged.
The Jackson County District Attorney says he will charge Powers with killing 56-year-old Terrance D. Stoen at his home in the Town of Northbend.
Authorities tracked Powers to a park in Juneau County where he?d been camping with friends.
