DNR: TALK TO US BEFORE REPLACING CULVERTS
Tuesday, September 28th, 2010 -- 11:27 AM
From the DNR:People who need to re-install flood-damaged culverts and bridges to reach their homes, farms, and businesses are encouraged to call the state Department of Natural Resources for immediate advice on culvert sizing and other issues that will assure the work is done properly. People trying to get access to their properties may grab anything they can get their hands on to replace a culvert, but if it?s the wrong size it will wash out again or cause more flooding. Property owners in Clark, Jackson and Trempealeau counties can call Jason Gazdecki, 715-284-1424.
