DNR TO TRAP WOLVES IN JACKSON CO.
Monday, September 27th, 2010 -- 11:17 AM

According to the DNR, the wolf approached a hunter within 50 feet, and the animal got in front of the man's vehicle when he got in.
It's believed to be the first verified wolf attack on a bird-hunting dog in Wisconsin.
The pack has approached people numerous times despite wildlife officials attempts to keep wolves away from cranberry beds and areas of human activity.
But the DNR says they have to use lethal control actions to address safety concerns.
