HERRICK, HAINES MOVE THROUGH PRIMARY

The field has been narrowed, and now Greg Herrick and Scott Haines will make their case to become Clark County?s next Sheriff.Herrick, a 50-year-old Clark County Sheriff's Department patrolman and farmer from Willard, won the Republican primary Tuesday. With just a handful of precincts yet to count, he had received 1,684 votes. Gary Leichtman was 2nd with 1,012 votes and Tony Trunkel was third with 462.
Scott Haines, 48 of Neillsville, won the Democratic primary, outpacing Jeff Parker, 827 to 568, again, with just a handful of precincts left to report. Haines is currently a drug investigator with the CCSD.
