AUTHORITIES: MURDERS MOTIVATED BY MONEY
Friday, July 30th, 2010 -- 11:23 AM
Authorities say money issues drove a West Salem man to kill his parents.During a press conference this morning, La Crosse County sheriff's officials said Eric Koula went to his parents' town of Barre home May 21 and shot 65-year-old Merna Koula as she sat at her computer. Wolf says Koula then shot his 68-year-old father, Dennis, when he returned home from work.
He then waited several days, and called authorities claiming he found their bodies while performing a welfare check.
Authorities didn?t release much new information this morning, but we can expect to learn how they linked Eric to the crime when the criminal complaint is filed later today.
