FEDS WILL PROSECUTE FORMER CDA DIRECTOR

The Feds are stepping in to prosecute the former head of Marshfield?s Community Development Authority.Tim Kraus served a year-and-a-half as the director of the CDA. An investigation found he was implicated in illegal activities.
The one-time Marshfield alderman is now facing possible charges of felony theft, misconduct in public office, and forgery of public documents.
Police Chief Gary Jepsen says the U.S. Attorney?s Office in Madison has agreed to prosecute the case.
The CDA is an independent branch of city government and receives HUD funding to administer the city?s subsidized housing program.
