ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT HELD ON $100K BOND

Monday, June 14th, 2010 -- 11:41 AM

We have more details of a frightening armed robbery in Neillsville that has landed two people in jail.

28-year-old Justin Farmer of Fairchild is held on a $100,000 cash bond after the alleged incident early on Friday morning. His alleged accomplice, Desiree Johnson, is also behind bars and was scheduled to appear in court this morning.

Authorities were called to a home on 14th street after a woman told authorities there was a man in their home with a shotgun.

When they arrived, they found Farmer in the living room wearing a ski mask. They also located two individuals who had been bound with duct tape.

Farmer faces 10 charges, including armed robbery with the threat of force and false imprisonment. Johnson will be charged as a ?party to the crime? on two felonies and 2 misdemeanors.

According to police reports, the two gained entry to the home in an attempt to steal, among other things, prescription medicine from its residents. They were caught in the act when a 19-year-old woman came downstairs after hearing some dogs barking. She found the man in a ski mask with a firearm. He bound her with duct tape, and put her in a bathroom.

Then, a male and female occupant of the home came back. The male subject was bound with duct tape. The female was able to run to the neighbor?s home to call authorities.

While Farmer was arrested at the home, Johnson left the scene and wasn?t apprehended until late in the day on Friday.
