SUDER RUNNING AGAIN
Monday, June 7th, 2010 -- 8:41 AM
An area state representative is running again.Scott Suder (R-Abbotsford) has held the seat since 1998. He?s never really been challenged in an election. In 2008, he garnered 60% of the vote on his way to a landslide victory over Democratic challenger Tim Swiggum, the mayor of the City Owen. On-line records indicate he re-registered his campaign committee, Taxpayers for Suder, on Wednesday.
No one else is registered.
Meanwhile, area voters will have a choice in a few state senate races. Incumbent Pat Kreitlow (D-Chippewa Falls) recently announced plans to seek reelection, he?ll be opposed by Republican Terry Moulton; Tomah mayor Ed Thompson is running as a Republican for the State Senate seat currently held by Democrat Kathleen Vinehout of Alma.
