A third-suspect in a theft from a Walmart in Marshfield, and subsequent high-speed chase into Portage County, was apprehended Thursday in Wisconsin Rapids.Authorities say the media?s help in providing the community with a description of 31-year-old Daniel Erdman helped them find him, and take him into custody at a residence on the city?s southeast side.
Erdman, along with 26-year-old Robert Belsha of Wisconsin Rapids and 36-year-old Omar Adair of Stevens Point, allegedly fled the scene of the Marshfield theft in a truck, before abandoning it near Stevens Point, and fleeing on foot. The other two suspects were captured quickly, but Erdman remained on the run for two days.
Now, authorities believe the three may be involved in other thefts at Walmart stores in Wisconsin Rapids and Plover.
