Tuesday, May 11th, 2010 -- 11:40 AM
First-quarter home sales seem to indicate the real estate market is stabilizing in Wisconsin. According to data released by the Wisconsin REALTORS Association(WRA), sales of existing homes rose by nearly 17% in the first three months of 2010 compared to the same period last year. This percentage outperforms the nation, which grew at 11.4%. The Wisconsin median price for the first quarter of 2010 was $135,000, which was less than 0.1-percent higher than the first quarter of 2009 price of $134,900. Meanwhile, it wasn?t a great first quarter in Clark County. Median prices fell 11% from $82,500 to $73,700 and the volume of home sales was down 5%.
