POLICE: FIRE IN NEILLSVILLE INTENTIONALLY SET

Investigators say a fire that broke out at a vacant Neillsville building was intentionally set.Fire Chief Matt Meyer says his crew was called to the old Van Gordon and Sons Fertilizer Plant building at 810 Clay Street at around 8 p.m. last night.
Upon arrival, firefighters were able to douse a small fire. They spent about one hour on scene.
Police Chief Brad Lindner says the fire was intentionally set in a 55-gallon barrel. It?s not clear who started the blaze, or why. There was minimal damage.
It remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Neillsville Police Department.
The same building was hit by vandalism a few weeks ago.
