Tuesday, March 16th, 2010 -- 8:23 AM
If you aren?t a seatbelt wearer, you may want to start now.The Clark County Sheriff?s Department and the Neillsville Police Department have stepped up safety belt enforcement patrols. The increased patrols began Friday and will run through next Sunday, March 21.
The joint effort is being funded by grants that the Clark County Sheriff's Department and Neillsville Police Department received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Bureau of Transportation Safety.
Wisconsin has a mandatory safety belt law; it provides for a fine of $10 and no points are assigned against a person's driver record.
