DOMESTIC ABUSE CASE COULD LEAD TO DEPORTATION

A domestic incident Sunday morning near Abbotsford could be costly for the defendant in more ways than one.According to court documents, investigators believe 22-year-old Justino Lopez-Hernandez bit his girlfriend at least 8 times, attempted to strangle her and threw a can of Fix-a-Flat at her face during an argument Sunday morning.
Lopez-Hernandez faces several charges, including a felony count of strangulation.
But, during a bond hearing Monday, he also admitted to being an undocumented Mexican national.
District Attorney Darwin Zwieg says immigration officials have been notified and Lopez-Hernandez will probably be deported.
