DNR SCHEDULES DEER MEETINGS

Wisconsin wildlife officials will hold a series of public deer management meetings around the state next month.The meetings come after the DNR unveiled a $2 million effort to better track deer and research their habitat.
Topics at the meetings will include strategies to create a sustainable deer herd, the 2010 season structure, increasing hunter participation and new deer research initiatives.
The meetings begin March 8 and run through the middle of the month. A list of times and locations can be found at the DNR?s website.
