A Marshfield man accused of shooting at some officers near Wausau is not competent to stand trial.25-year-old Errol Demmerly allegedly shot at police back in 2007.
A psychiatrist evaluated him and determined he was not fit to stand trial. A judge has ordered Demmerly to undergo treatment. He could be restored back to competency in the necessary time frame if he's forced to take his anti-psychotic medication.
Demmerly will be reevaluated in three months. Meanwhile, his trial date has been pushed back.
