SPENCER SCHOOL DISTRICT HEADS TO REFERENDUM

Another area school is headed to referendum.The Spencer school district will send a six-year, $675,000 referendum to voters on April 6th. The referendum will also include a one year, $250,000 revenue cap exemption that will fix a budget hole in the current fiscal year.
If approved, the mil rate will jump around .76-cents per thousand dollars of property.
The district?s current $425,000 revenue cap exemption was approved in 2005 and will expire at the end of the 2010-2011 school year.
