Coronavirus Numbers for January 7th

For local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 2,866 positive cases, an increase of 7 over yesterday.  Of those, 106 are currently active.  Clark County has had 53 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 494,747 positive cases (an increase of 3,406 over the previous day) and 5,039 deaths, an increase of 60 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 21,971, or 4%, have been hospitalized.

For our other neighboring counties:

In total, Chippewa has seen 6,067 positive and 67 deaths.

Eau Claire has seen 9,548 positive and 80 deaths,

Jackson has seen 2,429 positive and 18 deaths.

Marathon has seen 12,275 positive and 161 deaths.

Taylor has seen 1,616 positive and 14 deaths

And Wood has seen a total of 5,817 positive cases and 54 deaths.
