Tuesday, January 5th, 2010 -- 12:06 PM
Today (Tuesday) is supposed to be the final day candidates for the Spring Elections can file their paperwork, but the deadline will be extended for one district in the City of Neillsville.City Clerk/Treasurer Rex Roehl says 3rd Ward Alderman Dan Herbrand just alerted the city he will not seek reelection. Because he missed the deadline to file a declaration of non-candidacy, the filing deadline for that district will be extended until this Friday.
And, just to update our story from yesterday, there are now four candidates for Neillsville?s two school board seats that are up for election.
Peggy Grap (incumbent), Sue Voight, Jeff Gaier and Jonathan Harris have filed their papers.
Incumbent Paul Elmhorst is not seeking reelection.
Candidates can file papers until the close of business today (Tuesday).
