ECONOMIC OUTLOOK IMPROVES

The economy will improve next year, according to a new state Department of Revenue report.Analysts believe unemployment will peak at around 9.3% in the 1st quarter of 2010, then slowly recover. The jobless picture won't get back to pre-recession levels until sometime in 2012.
Personal income is slated to increase by 2.1% next year; even stronger growth is projected over the next two years.
Wisconsin officially entered the recession at the end of 2007.
