Coronavirus Numbers for January 5th

For local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 2,844 positive cases, an increase of 3 over yesterday.  Of those, 111 are currently active.  Clark County has had 51 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 487,938 positive cases (an increase of 1,407 over the previous day) and 4,884 deaths, an increase of 9 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 21,580, or 4%, have been hospitalized.

For our other neighboring counties:

In total, Chippewa has seen 6,004 positive and 66 deaths.

Eau Claire has seen 9,427 positive and 79 deaths,

Jackson has seen 2,401 positive and 18 deaths.

Marathon has seen 12,111 positive and 160 deaths.

Taylor has seen 1,604 positive and 14 deaths

And Wood has seen a total of 5,758 positive cases and 48 deaths.
