BRABAZON CONVICTED

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009 -- 10:20 AM

The ex-girlfriend of a local state representative has been convicted of breaking into his house in 2007.

According to on-line court records, Lisa Brabazon of St. Point pleaded no contest to a charge of criminal damage to property, a Class A misdemeanor.

A charge of criminal trespass was dismissed.

According to court documents, Rep. Scott Suder and Brabazon were living together in September 2007. Suder kicked her out of the house after finding she had used his credit cards and checking accounts without permission.

The charges claim Brabazon broke into the home while Suder was gone. She allegedly broke out a basement window, severely cutting herself on the glass. Police reports indicate there was blood throughout Suder's home.

She is already facing 15 felonies for misusing Suder?s accounts. Those charges were filed in Marathon County, where most of the alleged misuse occurred.

As part of a sentence handed down this week, Brabazon will spend one year on probation, will pay restitution, court costs and undergo a psychological evaluation. She?s also to have no contact with Suder.
