'PRAYER DEATH' COUPLE BACK IN COURT
Monday, October 5th, 2009 -- 8:18 AM
The Wausau-area parents who were convicted of not seeking medical help for the dying daughter return to court for sentencing Tuesday.Separate juries found Dale and Leilani Neumann guilty of second-degree reckless homicide. Prosecutors alleged their 11-year-old daughter, Madeline, could still be alive today if the couple had sought medical attention for her undiagnosed diabetes.
The family believes all healing comes from God.
Each face up to 25 years in prison.
The case is believed to be the first of its kind in Wisconsin involving faith healing in which someone died and another person was charged with a homicide.
